Scrimba, Unit Conversions, and Blog Updates
What's up, my fellow coding newbies! It's Ethan here, back with another blog post.
Today, I continued working on my Scrimba course. I'm currently making a metric to imperial conversion app. The instructor is great and the code as you go format makes it easy to learn (and stick around). I also appreciate the fact that Scrimba has both class projects (solutions shown) and individual projects (bring out the google). This forces you to expand on what you think you know and to come up with your own solutions.
My unit conversion app is coming along nicely, but I'm struggling with one thing in particular: getting the info from the user input without a button click listener. I'm still learning about event listeners, so this is a bit challenging for me. But I'm determined to figure it out!
In addition to working on my Scrimba, I also worked on making my blog site slightly better today. I created an independent contact me page with a form that doesn't show up on every blog post. I also made it so that my featured post only shows up on the homepage instead of at the top of every single page as well . I'm happy with the way my blog is looking so far, but I'm always open to suggestions.
Thanks for reading! I'll keep you updated on my progress with my unit conversion app and how i solved it.
P.S. If you have any tips on how to get the info from user input with only the press of a number? please leave them in the comments below!
